James Junior Compton 86, of Walnut Grove passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024. He was born on December 18, 1938, in Dadeville, MO, to Dalton and Aggie (Gray) Compton.

James grew up in the Dadeville area, moving to Marshall, Missouri when he was 18 with his new bride, Marilyn. He worked at Banquet Foods for 20 years and then moved to the Walnut Grove area. He then began working in HVAC with neighbor and friend, Don Yarberry. James enjoyed going to yard sales, fishing, metal detecting, and trading. He also listening to gospel music and singing. James was always tinkering with a radio, TV, watch, just about anything he could. He was an extremely caring and friendly man.

Visitation will be 11:00AM until noon, Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. Graveside services will be 1:00PM, Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Wheeler Cemetery, Walnut Grove, MO.
