James Leon Long, 79, of Ash Grove, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. He was born on June 25, 1945, in Rogersville, MO to Charles and Josephine (Clarke) Long. On March 25, 1966, James and Carolyn Bridges were united in marriage and shared over 58 years together.

James was a longtime member of Bible Baptist Church. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. James was always piddling and fixing things. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him.

James is survived by his wife, Carolyn; children, Tim Long, Dan Long and wife Karla; grandchildren, Rocky Long, Dalton Long, Amanda Falk, Jeremy Long, Austin Long, Samantha Long, Harrison Long, Dakota Nelson; nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Josephine Long; son, Mark Long; siblings, Charolette Schofield, Billy Long, and Harvey Long.

Private burial was held at Ash Grove Cemetery, Ash Grove.
