Jane Lynn (Johnson) Bennoch aka, Janie was born on January 17, 1960 in Springfield, Mo. to Bruce H. and Anna Jane (McMehen) Johnson of Walnut Grove, Missouri. She graduated in 1978 from Walnut Grove High School and later attended Drury College. After ending her studies, Jane began her successful food service management career for 17 years. Many Springfield residents have enjoyed parties and events that were planned and managed with Janie's expertise. After her food service career Janie devoted herself to caring for her ailing mother, whom she loved dearly. After grieving her mother's passing, she started a new career medical sales where she owned her own her own business that contracted with various infection prevention product manufacturers. Her successful medical sales career allowed her to travel across the country where she serviced high profile accounts including St. Jude's Children's Medical Research Center, Regional One Medical Center, as well as the Mercy Health System. It was through her interaction with Burn Centers that Janie discovered Camp Barnabas, Monett, Mo.a camp for disabled children. Janie was a Camp Barnabas board member and relished volunteering each summer as a "Camp Buddy." Janie was a devoted Christian and follower of Jesus who attended First and Calvery Presbyterian for many years, more recently attended Trinity Presbyterian
meeting at Westminister and Wesley Downtown Campus.
Janie leaves behind a brother, Bill Johnson of Walnut Grove a sister
and brother-in-law; Anne (Johnson) and John Clark of Columbia, Mo.
aunt and uncle; Jonnie McMehen and Dean Wells of Lee's Summit, Mo.
four nieces and nephews; Leslie (Johnson) Schuh, Kansas City, Mo. Diane (Johnson) Smith, Walnut Grove, Missouri; Jon Gerber, Austin, Texas, and Thomas Gerber, Marina DelRay, California; as well as five grand nieces and a grand nephew that she adored. and her loving and faithful companions ,(her dogs) Mac and Millie. In addition to her
family, Janie leaves behind a host of friends and business associates who loved her as much as any family ever could. All who knew her grieve her passing, but are grateful to have known such a loving soul who gave so much of herself and made us all laugh out loud.
Celebration of Janie's Life will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2016, 2:00 p.m.- 4:00p.m. in the White River Room, Springfield, Mo.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given, in her memory, to Camp Barnabas, Monett, Missouri.
