Jerry D. Davis, 79, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018.

Jerry, the son of William D. and Margaret (Shelton) Davis, was born in Columbus, OH, on March 22, 1939. Jerry and Donna (Gomez) were united in marriage on September 9, 1961, they shared 57 years together.

Jerry grew up in Tucson and loved the mountains and deserts. He then faithfully served in the United States Air Force serving in Texas, Kansas, California, Philippine Islands, Montana, Vietnam, Louisiana, and Alaska retiring in 1979. Jerry then worked for University of Alaska as a landscape artist for 18 years. He and Donna then moved to the Bois D' Arc area in 1999. Jerry was a member of the Ozark Garden Railroad Club and enjoyed wood working. Above all, Jerry loved being with his family and friends. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Donna of the home; daughter, Susan Davis and partner Susan Lynch of AL; son, Steven Davis and wife Tracy of NM; grandchildren, Chris Wasion and wife K'lyn, Christy Ward and husband Gabe, Jennifer VanGundy, John Hamilton; great grandchildren; Matthew Ward, Ryan Ward, Maria Mercer, Leota VanGundy; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; sister, June Pennick; and brother, John Davis.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 10:00AM until service time at Bois D' Arc Methodist Church, Bois D' Arc, MO. Memorial services will begin at 11:00AM at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Jerry's name to Bois D'Arc United Methodist Church and may be left at the church or funeral home.
