Jerry Stump, 83, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on September 30, 2026, in Springfield, Missouri. Jerry was born on November 19, 1942, in Everton, Missouri, to Jim and Lela (Cowan) Stump. On January 27, 1963, Jerry and Wanda Burton were united in marriage and shared over 63 years together.
Jerry was a man that enjoyed keeping busy. He worked for Paul Mueller for over 53 years and enjoyed planting a garden and mowing his yard for as long as his health allowed. Above all, Jerry loved his family. He especially loved the time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, but he also loved all his family, including his extended family. Jerry will be greatly missed.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Wanda Stump; daughters, Regina Richardson and Rhonda Underwood and husband Mark; grandchildren, Elizabeth Greening, Cole Underwood and wife Chantal, Camerin Underwood; great grandchildren, Jaxson, Zander, Jasmine, Finn; siblings, Edna Fite, Lois Watson, Glen Stump and wife Connie, Mary Brake and husband Steve, Janie Boehne; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Lela Stump; siblings, Opal Harris and husband Gene, Elsie Ritchey and husband Charles, Joe Stump; brothers-in-law, Charles Fite and Anthony Watson.
Visitation will be 10:00AM until service time, Monday, October 5, 2026, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM with burial to follow at Pennsboro Cemetery, South Greenfield.
