Jerry Allen Underwood, 76, of Ash Grove, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023. He was born on August 18, 1946, in Springfield, MO to John Wiley and Orpha (Wheeler) Underwood.

Jerry graduated from Everton High School and retired from Burlington Northern Railroad after 30 years. In his younger days, he enjoyed horses and riding his motorcycle. Jerry also enjoyed shooting guns and he loved fishing. Above all, Jerry loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him.

Jerry is survived by his children, Tammy Pendergrass and husband Jeff, Timmy Underwood and wife Tammy, Jeffery Underwood; grandchildren, Hannah Diemer and husband Jason, Lance Pendergrass, Steven "Buddy" Bauer, Amanda Boyd and husband Lance, Travis Underwood and wife Amber, Mallory Holland, Whitney Brockman and husband Tyler, James Beasley and wife Tori, Dallas Beasley and wife Mellisa; great grandchildren, Haili, Devin, Lanie, Boston, L.J., Elijah, Parker, Ellie, Stetson, Kylie, Taelyn, Cora, Dahlia, Weston; sister, Luetta Moore; other family and many friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, John and Orpha Underwood; daughter, Tracy Underwood; great granddaughter, Gracie Snider; siblings, Nancy Crockett, Vernon Underwood, Delbert Underwood; niece, Laura Curnes; nephew, Rick Moore; great niece, Daphanie Creed; and beloved dog, Jack.

Visitation will be from 1:00PM until service time, Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. Funeral services will begin at 3:00PM, at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Walnut Grove.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Oak Grove or Flint Hill Cemetery and may be left at the funeral home.
