Jim E. Hawk, 86 of Walnut Grove passed away, Monday, March 18, 2024. He was born on his family farm on Sunday, August 29, 1937, to Walt and Avaline "Granny" (Looney) Hawk in Walnut Grove. On August 3, 1973, Jim married the love of his life, Bernice. They were married for 50 years, 7 months, and 15 days.

Jim was a member of the Christian Church all of his life and served as a deacon. He never got mad at anyone, and he enjoyed tinkering and playing music. Jim adored his grandchildren and loved to tell them ghost stories. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters, Leah, Rachel, and Blanche; and 4 brothers, Lawrence, Bill, Bob, and Ralph.

Jim is survived by his wife, Bernice Presley Bolin-Hawk, 2 sons, Wendall Bolin and wife Linda, Dennis Bolin and wife Gay; daughter, Ronda; 5 grandchildren, Jesse Bolin and wife Kara, Jamie Harter, Kyle Bolin, Lane Bolin, Craig Bolin and wife Savannah; 8 great grandchildren, Kinleigh, Kanton, and Kadee Bolin, Atley, Reed, and Garett Harter, Raylan and Presley Bolin; brother, Danny Hawk and wife Janet; several nieces and nephews, other family and many friends.

Visitation will be from 12:30PM until service time, Monday, March 25, 2024, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. Funeral services will begin at 2:00PM, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove.
