Jo Ann Henderson, 83, of Ash Grove, passed away, on Friday, July 28, 2017.

Jo Ann, the daughter of Ralph O. and Wilma V. (Brooks) Moore, was born on December 7, 1933. Jo Ann and Wayne Henderson were united in marriage November 10, 1954 and together they shared over 43 years together before Wayne's passing in 1997.

Jo Ann was a graduate of Ash Grove High School and was a telephone operator for Bell Tell and Nevada Bell, retiring after more than 30 years of service.  Jo Ann also worked as an x-ray tech for Goldmine.  Jo Ann enjoyed listening to music, especially country western, and dancing.  Jo Ann loved being with friends and family, but nothing compared to the time that she spent with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Jo Ann will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Jo Ann is survived by one daughter, Carolyn A. Henderson of UT; two sons, Bill W. Henderson, Darrell L. Henderson and wife Elizabeth all of NV; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; one brother, Walter Mack and wife Jo Ann of Springfield; special friends, Paul Jones, Jesse and Verma Lea Welsh; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one brother, Stanley H. Moore.

Visitation will be 6:00PM-8:00PM, Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove, MO.  Funeral services will be at 1:00PM, Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the funeral home with burial to follow in Ash Grove Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to Ash Grove Health Care Auxiliary and may be left at the funeral home.
