Joyce Strader, 85, of Springfield, MO, passed away, on Monday, July 31, 2017.

Joyce, the daughter of Ira and Mary Leona (West) Dimmitt, was born on October 1, 1931.  Joyce and Holman Strader were united in marriage April 21, 1950.  Together they were privileged to share over 43 years together before Holman's passing in 1993.

Joyce was a graduate of Ash Grove High School and a life-long area resident.  She retired from Franks Uniforms, where she worked as an embroider for over 20 years.  Joyce loved to cook, but she especially enjoyed cooking large delicious meals to share with her family and friends.  She was always thinking of others and loved to brighten someone's day.  Joyce will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Joyce is survived by one brother, Michael "Mike" Dimmitt and wife Kate of Ozark; two sisters, Barbara Jarrell of KS, Patti Elkins and husband Ben of Springfield; one brother-in-law, James Stiles and wife Gee of Springfield; two sister-in-laws, Karen Dimmitt of GA, Marilyn Dimmitt of Everton; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Dolores Stiles; two brothers, Treacil "Butch" Dimmitt and Bob Dimmitt.

Graveside Services will be Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11:00AM in Hampton Cemetery, Everton, MO.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Missouri Hospice and Palliative Care Association and may be left at the funeral home.
