Karen Lynn
Prichard
August 15, 1950 – October 10, 2025
Karen Lynn Prichard, 75, of Ash Grove, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025. She was born August 15, 1950, in Indianapolis, IN to William and Ireva (Smith) Oswald. On September 6, 1980, Karen and Dell Prichard were united in marriage and shared over 45 years together.
Karen loved life and the people in it. She was always up for a good time—whether that meant a trip to the casino to play the slots, a night of cards with friends, or a Scrabble match that brought out her competitive streak. She enjoyed movie nights, days at the beach, and cooking for the people she loved. Karen had a sweet tooth for chocolate and desserts, and a soft spot for animals, especially her beloved dogs. She also had a love for adventure and fast cars. No matter where she went, Karen made friends easily with her warm smile and complement of shoes. More than anything, she was proud of her children and adored her grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.
Karen is survived by husband, Dell Prichard; daughters, Kelli Banks and husband Jeremy, Kimberly Vardaman; step-sons, Mark Patterson, Tony Prichard and wife Heather; grandchildren Ronald, Camden, Cohen; great grandchildren, Magnolia, Eleanor; other family and friends.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents, William and Ireva Oswald, and sister, Pam Ballard.
