Kelby Seth Fortner, 27 of Walnut Grove passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023. He was born to Brian and Amy (Blades) Fortner on September 5, 1995.

Kelby didn't know a stranger. He loved farming and would drop about anything to go bale a field of hay. He loved going to concerts, hunting, floating, and just loved being with his friends. Kelby was always smiling and lived his life to the fullest. #farmlikekelby

Kelby is survived by his parents, Brian and Amy Fortner; brother, Kane Fortner and girlfriend Daisy Dureault; maternal grandparents, Larry and Doris Blades; paternal grandfather, Francis Fortner; aunts and uncles, Bobby and Jessica Fortner, Sara and Jason Sturgell, Dan and LaDonna Blades, Rhonda Fortner; special great aunt and uncle, Gail and Rick Greer; many cousins, who were always his friends, other family and many friends.

Kelby was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Judy Fortner, that he lovingly named "Booger."

There will be no formal visitation, but friends may stop by the Walnut Grove Funeral Home, Friday, June 16, 2023, from noon until 6:00PM. His life will be celebrated at 10:00AM, Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Walnut Grove High School Gym, Walnut Grove, MO, with burial to follow at Cave Springs Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Walnut Grove FFA or to help offset funeral costs. Donations can be left or mailed to the funeral home, Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, PO Box 217, Ash Grove, MO 65604. There is also an account set up at OMB where donations can be left.
