Obituary

After a rich life defined by the love of his family and his faith in the Lord, Larry Kent Acuff passed away on May 31, 2018.

Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on May 20, 1937, Larry grew up in and around Springfield, MO. Upon graduating from Central Senior High School, he attended the Rolla School of Mines and Engineering earning a Degree in Engineering.

During a brief stint in the Army, he achieved the rank of 2D Lt.

Then, like his father before him, Larry spent most of his working career with Kraft Foods, which took him to Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, California and Illinois as he rose to Head of Engineering International.

Following his retirement, he split time between Fullerton, CA and his dream home - a cabin on Table Rock Lake in Southern Missouri where he lived until his death.

An avid fisherman and hunter, Larry's passions included the Green Bay Packers, Musical Theater, Louis L'Amour, Bridge and The Legend of Zelda. He traveled to over to 30 countries across six continents.

He will be missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents Leo and Alice, and survived by his wife Phila, brothers Ron and Dave, sons Jeffrey, Gregory and Ryan, step-children Heather Hendry, William Hendry and Jill Shelton, and eight grand children.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Grace Evangelical Free Church in La Mirada, CA.

Services will be held at the Wilson- Griffin Funeral Home in Walnut Grove, MO on Friday, June 8th at 2pm.
