Laura Lee Barker, 82 of Willard, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023. Laura was born on April 22, 1941, in Ponca City, OK to Woodson and Laura (Eversmeyer) Combs.  On April 10, 1965, Laura and Richard Allen Barker Sr. were united in marriage and shared over 51 years together before Richard's passing in 2016.

Laura was a nurse for 62 years, graduating from nursing school from Jewish Hospital. She worked in many different aspects of nursing care. Laura was an active member of Walnut Grove First Baptist Church. She was active in many charities, but her favorites were Operation Christmas Child and Native American Toy Drive. Laura enjoyed working with her hands, sewing, crocheting, and quilting. She also loved reading and watching Hallmark movies. Laura had many wonderful friends, but Karen Dodson and Diana Stehlik were her very best. Laura and Diana would speak every week to solve the world's problems together. Laura will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Laura is survived by her children, Rachelle McKee and husband Michael, Richard Allen Barker Jr. and wife Cynthia, Eric Barker and wife Cheryl; grandchildren, Brittany Barker, Kayla Barker, Alex Barker and Christopher McKee; great grandchildren: Andrea Snyder, Alex Minton, Pennelope Barker, Alyssa Harp, Attie Harp, Elijah Kahle, Sydney Siler, Xander Siler; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Woodson and Laura Combs; husband Richard Allen Barker Sr., siblings, Neil Combs and Norma Spurgeon.

Visitation will be from 4:00PM-6:00PM on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. Funeral services will be at 2:00PM, Monday, November 6, 2023, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove, with burial to follow at Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Walnut Grove First Baptist Church- Operation Christmas Child and may be left at the funeral home.
