Laura Nell Cawlfield Hall was born on August 29, 1925 to Chris and Alta Cawlfield and entered into rest on Saturday, May 13, 2017.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother and sister-in-law, Newt and Mary Cawlfield; and husband, Warren Hall.

She is survived by daughter Paula and her husband, Bill Hankins; her granddaughters Sandy Dean (Jeremy), and Heather Hart; her great granddaughter Jessica (Jared) Bright; her great grandson Nicholas Tokarz; and great great granddaughter Charlotte Bright.  She also leaves behind several nephews and a host of dear friends who will miss her greatly.

Laura Nell was a career postal employee at the Ash Grove Post Office.  She lived her entire life in Ash Grove and was very active in civic and church activities in to her late eighties.  She was a charter member of the Ash Grove Garden Club, member of the P.E.O., member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries, the Ash Grove Nursing Home Auxiliary, and other city-wide projects.  As a proud great-great-great granddaughter of Daniel Boone, she was very involved in the starting of the Nathan Boone Rendezvous in Ash Grove and sewed many fancy ruffled, lacy dresses and decorated outrageously large hats to wear to the events.

Visitation will be Monday May 22, 2017 from 12:30PM- until service time at Ash Grove Christian Church, Ash Grove, MO.  Funeral services will begin at 1:30PM at the church.  Arrangements under the direction of Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove, MO.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Ash Grove Christian Church or Ash Grove Health Care Facility Auxiliary or a charity of your choice.
