Lestra Ann Cameron 73, of Everton passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024. She was born on June 24, 1951, in Hannibal, MO, to Lester and Bobby Jane (McCune) Morgan. On November 21, 1986, Lestra and Cecil Earl Cameron were united in marriage and shared over 38 years together.

Lestra enjoyed shopping and decorating. She took that talent to Marantha Village and for years she did the seasonal decorations, inside and out, along with planning and planting many of the flowers, another of Lestra's loves. She continued to spread joy and support as the social worker at Marantha for many years. Lestra later became a bereavement coordinator for Preferred Hospice, for as long as her health would allow. She adored her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. Lestra loved the Lord, and the family is celebrating that she is now in Heaven.

Lestra is survived by her husband, Cecil Earl Cameron; children, Chad Brookshire, Grant Cameron, Russell Cameron and wife Christal; grandchildren, Skylar Cameron; Alex Steel and wife Lily, EJ Cameron; beloved dog, Becca; other family and many friends.

Lestra was preceded in death by her parents, Les and Jane Morgan

Visitation will be 2:00PM-4:00PM, Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove.
