Leta Mae Christian, 89, of Willard, passed away, on Friday, October 27, 2017.

Leta the daughter of Merle and Marie (Butcher) Parkison, was born in Walnut Grove, MO, on March 1, 1928.  On December 20, 1947 Leta and Fred H. Christian were united and marriage and they spent 52 years together, before Fred's passing in 2000

Leta was a life-long resident of Willard and 1946 graduate of Walnut Grove.  Leta enjoyed spending time outside in her flower and vegetable garden.  She also liked to sew and in her earlier years, enjoyed quilting. Leta also liked to keep busy by doing jigsaw puzzles.  She was an active member of her church and served faithfully.  Most of all, Leta enjoyed her family and adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.   She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Leta is survived by her children, Roger Christian and wife Anita of Ozark, Ronald Christian and wife Vicki of Willard, Randy Christian and wife Susan of Springfield, Verna Creed of Willard, Barbara Blevins and husband David of Springfield; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two brothers, Gene Parkison of Springfield and Earl Parkison of Walnut Grove; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.

Leta was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Rodney Christian; daughter, Kala Sue Dotson; two brothers, Glen Parkison and Jim Parkison.

Visitation will be Monday, October 30, 2017 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove, MO.  Funeral services will be 1:00PM, Tuesday, October 31, 2017 in the funeral home with burial to follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Cancer Society and may be left at the funeral home.
