Lois Irene Ellis, of Conway, departed this life on Monday, January 8, 2018, at the age of 83.

She was born on June 13, 1934 to Homer and Vina (Burke) Hunnicutt, in Weatherford, OK.  Lois and James M. Ellis were united in marriage and to this union 2 sons were born.

Lois loved the Lord and trusted Jesus as her Savior as a child.  She donated to Christian children's ministries all over the world, always wanting to help the children.  Lois also enjoyed being outdoors.  She enjoyed gardening, canning, fixing fence, hiking and canoeing.  Lois loved her pets and enjoyed having a variety around.  Lois adored her family and friends and loved spending time with any chance she could.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Lois is survived by her loving family: son, Scott Ellis of Conway, MO; sister, Marilyn (Hunnicutt) Terrell of Springfield; brother-in-law, Andy Terrell of Springfield; sister-in-law, Sharron Hunnicutt of Ash Grove; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.

Lois was preceded in death by son, Mike Ellis; her parents; sister, Polly Stockton; ex-husband, James Ellis; and brother, Dennis Hunnicutt.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 12:00PM-until service time at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove, MO.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00PM, at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Ash Grove Cemetery, Ash Grove, MO.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Salvation Army and may be left at the funeral home.
