Lorene Bryant-Chappell, 103 of Aurora, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024. She was born on October 6, 1920, in Everton, MO, to Enoch and Flora Bell (Grover) Patton. In 1941, Lorene and Vincil Bryant were united in marriage and shared over 43 years together before his passing in 1984. She later married another wonderful man, Ray Chappell, and they spent over 20 years together before his passing in 2011.

Lorene was a lifelong area resident, spending much of her life in Ash Grove and Bolivar. She retired as a bookkeeper for Campbell 66 Express in Springfield, MO after 28 years. She was well known for her delicious three-tiered German Chocolate cakes. She loved to dance, was quick witted, and dearly loved by her great granddaughters and many others. Her fun spirit and sense of humor will be deeply missed.

Lorene is survived by her great granddaughters, Nicki Edwards and husband Scott; Tawny Adamson and husband Cory; great-great grandson, Gage Edwards; other family and friends.

Lorene is preceded in death by her first spouse, Vincil, her second spouse, Ray, her parents, her many brothers and sisters, and many beloved friends.

Graveside services will be 10:00AM, Friday, July 26, 2024, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO.

The family would like to thank Dr. Cheryl Williams and Hudson House of Aurora for the love and care provided to Lorene for the past 12 years. A special thanks is also extended to Compassus Hospice for their loving support in a difficult time.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Hudson House in Aurora in Lorene's name to help fund activities and supplies for the residents/her friends.
