Marilyn K. Smith, 77, of Willard, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025.

Marilyn was born in Springfield, Missouri on July 30, 1947, to James and Wilma (McTeer) Hammons. On September 7, 1966, Marilyn and Gene C. Smith were united in marriage and shared over 45 years together, before Gene's passing in 2012.

Marilyn was a lifelong area resident. She was a hard-working dairy farmer and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson, Justin. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Genia Giggy and husband Scott; grandson, Justin Giggy; brother, Tony Hammons; sister Evelyn Elliott and husband Mike; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and friends.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Gene C. Smith; parents, James and Wilma Hammons; brothers, Leroy and Terry Hammons.

Visitation will be 2:00PM-4:00PM, Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Funeral services will be 11:00AM, Monday, March 17, 2025, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Willard, MO.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association and may be left with the funeral home.
