Mary Jane Bruce, 84, of Ash Grove, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022. She was born on August 11, 1938, in McClure, IL to Alfred Arron and Bonnie Hazel (Tully) Costin. On June 24, 1956, Mary and Ralph Eugene Bruce were united in marriage and shared over 60 years together before Ralph's passing in 2016.

Mary was an avid reader, enjoyed watching Food Network and collecting anything to do with chickens. She had a beautiful singing voice, but always wanted to sing with the crowd. Most importantly, Mary loved her family. She loved being Grandma and spending time with her grandchildren and great granddaughters. Mary will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.

Mary is survived by 3 daughters, Deanna Oberg, Debbie Whitehead, Karen Calvert; grandchildren, Jacob Bruce and Cynthia, Mary Elizabeth Bruce and Erik, Gina Whitehead, Gabe Whitehead and wife Katie, Andrea Tuning and husband Kevin; great granddaughters, Violet and Camille Whitehead; bonus great granddaughters, Madelyn and MaKayla Tuning; siblings, Faye Willis and husband Bryce, Robert Costin and wife Lisa, Bonnie Jean Costin; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Bonnie Costin; husband, Ralph Bruce; sister, Katherine Stroud and husband John; brother, Alan Costin; and son-in-law, Dennis Whitehead.

Graveside services will be 1:00PM, Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Ash Grove Cemetery, Ash Grove, MO.
