Obituary

Louise (Johnson) Hudspeth, the daughter of Leonard and Ethel (Pringle) Johnson was born April 7, 1922. She passed away Tuesday evening March 1, 2016, at 9:45 p.m. in James River Health Care, Springfield, Mo. Her age was 93 years 10 months 13 days.

Louise was born near Everton, and grew up in the area. She graduated from Halltown High School in 1938. She was a longtime resident of the Neosho area, returning to Ash Grove in 1973. After the passing of her husband "Gid" she moved to be closer to her 3 children. She was a retired bank teller with the Bank of Ash Grove. She was a member of the Ash Grove 1st Baptist Church, until moving her membership to 1st Baptist Church of Broken Arrow, Ok.

Louise Johnson and Gideon "Gid" Hudspeth were united in marriage on Dec. 29, 1940. To this union three children were born. Together, Louise and Gid were privileged to share over 56 years. Gideon preceded her in death February 28, 1996, also preceding her were her parents, brother, Lloyd Johnson and sister, Mildred Friar.

She is survived by her loving family: two sons, Jim and wife Karen Hudspeth of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Ron Hudspeth of Gordon, Texas; and daughter, Ann (Hudspeth) Moore of Springfield, Mo.; five grandchildren: Eric and wife Tammy Hudspeth, Angie (Hudspeth) and husband Kyle Jernigan, Randy and wife Angie Hudspeth, Mike and wife Suzette Hudspeth and
Emily (Moore) and husband Dan Bogardus; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Don Johnson of
Texico, Ill; and sister, Berta Meltabarger of Ash Grove and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 12:00 noon in Wilson Brim Daniel Chapel, Ash Grove with Rev. Tom Geer officiating with interment following in Ash Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning in the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 11:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. prior to services.
