Melissa Ann Chism, 48 of Willard, left this earth on Thursday, August 4, 2022. Melissa was born in Springfield, MO on December 15, 1973, to Francis and Shirley Ann (Stehlik) Conrad, and united in marriage on October 18, 1996, to James "Chris" Chism. Melissa and Chris shared over 18 years together before Chris' passing in 2014.

Melissa was a graduate of Walnut Grove HS and life-long area resident and entrepreneur, owning a salon as a licensed cosmetologist before starting Chism Plumbing, which she and her husband Chris ran for over 15 years. Religion was very dear to her heart and to her salvation. Melissa had a green thumb, as could be seen by looking at the outdoor decks and spaces at her home. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the sunny beaches of Mexico. Above all, Melissa loved spending time with her family, especially the time spent with her children.

Melissa will be remembered with love and affection by all those whose lives she touched. Gone before her, was her husband, James "Chris" Chism and mother, Shirley Conrad.

Melissa is survived by her children, Blayne Chism and partner Tabi Jarman, Makayla Chism, Chloe Chism; father, Francis Conrad; siblings, Randy Conrad and wife Christina, Lisa Mason and husband Kevin, Michael Conrad and wife Shannon; special aunt, Zyma Hutchins; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be noon until 2:00PM, Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove.
