Michael L. McMain, 74 of Willard, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021. He was born on November 5, 1947, in Willows, California to Leonard Delmar and Alma Jane (Hatley) McMain. On June 17, 1972, Michael and Rosalee Pickering were united in marriage and shared almost 50 years together.

Michael faithfully served in the United States Navy for six years. In 1983, Michael became an ordained minister with the Assembly of God. Most recently he started the Chariton Valley Cowboy Church in Kirksville, Missouri, where he was the minister for 10 years. Michael's heart was in the church, he loved his ministry and the church family. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.

Michael is survived by his wife, Rosalee McMain; sons, Michael C. McMain and wife Jessica, Scott McMain and wife Ingrid, Troy McMain and wife Stephanie; grandchildren, Austin, Kailey, Kyden, Koen, Lucas, Skyler, Nicolas, Jesse; siblings, Leroy McMain, Jerry McMain, Stanley McMain, David McMain, Melanie Walker; other family and friends.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Alma McMain and father and mother-in-law, Homer and Rosie Pickering.

Kirksville memorial service will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be from 11:00AM until service time, Friday, January 14, 2022, at Central Assembly of God, 1301 N. Boonville Ave., Springfield, MO. Funeral services will begin at noon, at the church.  Burial will be at 2:00PM, Friday, January 14, 2022, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO.
