Otis L. Wood Jr., 70, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019.

Otis, the son of Otis L. and Serena M. (Daniels) Wood, was born in Purcell, MO, on September 5, 1948. Otis and Ann (Kirkpatrick) were united in marriage on September 5, 1974 and shared over 44 years together.

Otis enjoyed being outdoors. He grew beautiful flowers, enjoyed fishing and trapping, and picking his own fruit. Otis also was excellent at making pies and cakes. He adored his son and grandson and loved spending time with them, watching Cardinal baseball was even better when they were all together. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him.

Otis is survived by his wife, Ann Wood of the home; son, Ray Lee Wood and wife Kelsie of Springfield; grandson, Hunter Lee Allen Wood; other family and many friends.

Otis was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother; and 2 sisters.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 11:00AM in Ash Grove Cemetery, Ash Grove, MO. A time of visitation and celebration will immediately follow graveside, until 4:30PM, at Lake Springfield Boat House.
