Mr. Paul H. Nelson, the son of Arthur Henry and Emma (Schmidt) Nelson was born June 17, 1929 Omaha, Nebraska. He passed away in his home on June 10, 2016 in Willard, Mo. His age was 86 years 11 months and 24 days.

Paul was born in Omaha, Nebraska and graduated from Bellview High School in 1946. He was retired from the Federal Aviation Administration where he was a Electrical Tech. from 1960 to 1983. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #64 A. F. & A.M. Order of Eastern Star Chapter #551, the Scottish Rites of Joplin and the Shrine of Springfield. Mo. He served as Mayor of Willard for 2 terms in the 1970's. Paul was an Army and Air Force Veteran and member of the Willard Methodist Church.

Paul H. Nelson and Rosa Gamble were united in marriage on October 25, 1959. To this union a daughter was born. Together, they were
privileged to share 56 years. He was preceded by his parents and siblings Arthur, Agnes Nelson, June Meeks and Dorothy Whitsemat.

He is survived by his loving family: wife Rosa, of the home; daughter, Julie and husband Dale Garner of Springfield; and grandson, Shawn Garner.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, with Masonic
services given by Randy Jones and Military Honors by the Missouri Honors Team.
