Pauline K Strope 86, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026. A resident of Springfield, MO (formally of Jefferson City, MO) and was deeply committed to her Catholic faith. She was born on February 18, 1940 in Jefferson City, MO to George and Margaret (Sheppers) Maasen. On April 1, 1967 she married Leander (Lee) Strope and they shared over 35 years together before his passing in 2003.

Pauline enjoyed being outside and working with all her flowers and plants. She was known to have quite a green thumb. She also loved reading and working with her hands from putting puzzles together, cross stitching and embroidering many quilt blocks over the years.

Pauline is survived by her five children, Rick Strope (Tiffany), Jeff Strope, Joyce Weatherford (Lonnie), Jennifer Sharp (Randy) and Randy Strope (Hannah). 9 grandchildren. Siblings: Sr. Celine Maasen, Teresa Temmen, Vicky Niekamp (Mike), Bernadette Gillis (Dennis), Harold Maasen (Jeannie), Tony Rackers (brother-in-law), Art Boeckman (brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Pauline is preceded in death by her husband Leander (Lee) Strope, her parents George and Margaret Maasen, her siblings Ben Maasen (Frankie), Barb Rackers, Helen Beckman, Pete Temmen (brother-in-law) and grandson Brandon Sharp.
