Peggy Deloris Walters, 81 of Ash Grove passed away on Wednesday morning August 19, 2015 in The Manor, Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Peggy, the daughter of Thomas and Daisy (Nix) Harris was born in St. Louis, Mo., September 29, 1933. She attended Brentwood Schools in
Brentwood, Mo., residing in Festus, Mo. until moving to Ash Grove Missouri in 1990. Peggy was a homemaker and loved caring for her family, from making them a comfortable home to cooking their favorite
food. She had attended the Baptist Church. During her stay at The
Manor, she always enjoyed attending the church services. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxilary of Festus, Mo.
Peggy Harris and Lester Walters were united in marriage, April 18, 1953. To this union four children were born. Together Lester and
Peggy were privileged to share 39 years. Lester preceded her in death, February 3, 1993, Also, preceding her were her parents and son
Randy Walters.
She is survived by her children: Laurie Yocom of Ash Grove, Mo., Jerry and wife Cindy Walters, of Ellsinore, Mo. Stephen and wife Jena of Peidmont, Mo.; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren
and brother Jerry Harris of Nashville, Illinois and numerous nieces
and nephews.
Services will be held Monday, August 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Wilson Brim Daniel Chapel, Ash Grove with Rev. Tom Geer officiating
with interment at 1:00 p.m. Monday in Springfield National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
