Phyllis L. (Patterson) Lisenby, of Willard, departed this life on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at the age of 84.
Phyllis was born on May 15, 1933 to Thomas H. and Edna (Burton) Patterson, in Red Top, MO. Phyllis and John C. Lisenby were united in marriage on November 24, 1951 and shared over 66 years together.
Phyllis was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Pleasant Hope High School in 1951. Phyllis was a long-time member of First Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and loved her time in the church. Phyllis enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, making meals for her family. She adored her family, and especially loved her grandchildren. Phyllis will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.
Phyllis is survived by her loving family: husband, John Lisenby of the home; son, Greg Lisenby and wife Kim of Willard; daughter, Lisa Johnston and husband Ron of TX; grandchildren, Jay Lisenby and wife Lindsey, Laura Harms and husband Rogelio, Nathan Johnston and fiancé Christy Cook; 4 great grandchildren, Macey, Raegan and Cora Lisenby and Gavin Harms; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Jenna Lisenby; siblings, Hazel Reynolds, Eloise Carr, Milford Patterson, Dean Patterson, and Eugene Patterson.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 20, 2018, 9:30AM-service time at Willard First Baptist Church, Willard, MO. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM at the church with Pastor Dennis Gromer and Rev. Scotty Killingsworth officiating. Burial will follow in Wesley Cemetery, Willard, MO. Arrangements under the direction of Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to American Parkinson Disease Association and may be left at the funeral home.
