Ray Dean Holt, Sr., 77, of Everton, Mo. passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, in Mercy Hospital Springfield, Mo.
Ray was born in Brown Branch, Mo., to Cecil Addison (Bucket) Holt and Mabel Nancy Essary Holt. He was a retired manager of Overhead Door Co. And was a member of the
Baptist Church.
He was an avid hobbiest and loved to buy, sell and trade. He enjoyed watch collecting and repair,training roller pigeons and hunting Begals and visiting swap meets.
He was Married to Barbara Joyce Holt-Bryan, wed on 11/9.
Survived by: his wife of 48 years, Barbara Joyce Holt; a son they shared together, Ray Junior and Marci Holt; two grandsons: Kalen and Grayson; and three granddaughters: Kylie, Kelby, Khloe; A chosen son: Robert and Marlene Lee; three children from previous relationships: Marie and Kevin Dailey, Jimmy Holt, Debbie Brookes; seven Stepchildren: Alan Quick, Rick and Teri Quick, Alicia Quick, Glenn and Sherry Quick, Teresa and Ricky Jarrett, Joe and Kristin Quick, Robert Quick; 33 Grandchildren; 38 Great Grandchildren; 2 surviving siblings: Betty Dickinson and Sharon Lansdown; several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by: 1 child, Teresa Holt, 2 infant siblings and Birl Siler, Ruby Hickey, Gladys Smith, Trellis Maples, Tommy Holt, Donny Holt, Cecil Holt, Jr.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Wilson Brim Daniel Chapel, Ash Grove Kenny and Shirley Cowen officiating with interment in Rivermonte
Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Mo.
Family will receive friends on Friday evening, January 8, 2016 from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Ash Grove chapel.
