Regena C. Dixon, 91, of Ash Grove, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday April 5th, at Ash Grove Healthcare.  Regena was born to Ray and Grace (Wilson) Gayer on March 27, 1926. She graduated from Ash Grove High School and attended Southwest Missouri State University. She married Bill W. Dixon January 1, 1946, to this union two sons were born Steve Ray & Gayer Layne. Bill passed away March 18, 1967. She was a lifetime resident of Ash Grove and loved to travel. Later she married Lloyd C. Hanson on July 27, 1983, he passed away January 18, 1994.

Regena was very active in her community, church, and civic affairs. She was a life member of the VFW, A.M Legion Auxiliary, and State Historical Society of Missouri. She was also the Building Project Director of the Ash Grove Sunshine Center, charter member of Greene County Historical Society, and a charter member of Ash Grove Nursing Home Auxiliary for which she won the Lillian Hutchison Award.  She volunteered at American Red Cross and Cox Hospital and was a member of First Christian Church of Ash Grove.

Regena was proceeded in Death by: her father and mother Ray & Grace Gayer, brother H.R. Gayer, infant sister Annabelle Gayer, husband Bill W. Dixon, and husband Lloyd C. Hanson. She is survived by sons, Steven Ray Dixon & Regina Blankenship of Ash Grove, Gayer Layne & Mary Ann Dixon of Ash Grove, grandchildren; Tory Dixon, Erin Coble, Audrey Glenn, Andree DeMent, & Billy Dixon, 3 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, April 14, 2017, from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove, MO.  Graveside services will be 10:00AM, Saturday, April 15, 2017 in the Ash Grove Cemetery, Ash Grove, MO.

In lieu of flowers donations to Ash Grove Sunshine Center or Ash Grove Healthcare Auxiliary.
