Carl Richter "Rick" Morris, 68, of Walnut Grove, Mo. passed away in his home on Sunday morning, January 3, 2016.
Rick, the son of J. Richter "Richie" and Helen Rebecca "Davis" Morris, was born October 30, 1947 in Springfield. Mo. He grew up
in the Walnut Grove area and graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1965 and attended Southwest Baptist University. Rick was a lifelong area resident and was employed with the Gas Department, of Springfield City Utilities and would have retired this week after 24 years of service. Rick ran and operated the Ash Grove Dry Cleaners for several years. He was a member of the Walnut Grove First Christian Church. He loved sports of all kinds and enjoyed playing and watching various teams play.
He is survived by two sons: Eric and wife Amanda Hambey and Derrick Morris; and two grandchildren:
Alivia and Keaton Hambey all of Walnut Grove, Mo. and numerous cousins.
Services will be Thursday morning, January 7, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in Wilson Brim Daniel Chapel, Ash Grove with Rev. Scotty Killingsworth officiating with interment following in Ash Grove Cemetery, Ash Grove, Missouri.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday
evening in the Ash Grove Chapel.
