Robert Eugene "Bob" West 72, of Ash Grove passed away Saturday morning, June 4, 2016 at 11:38 a.m. in the Ash Grove Health Center following an extended illness.

Bob, the son of William A. aka "Cookie Bill" and Gertrude (Dyal) West, was born April 30, 1944 in Ash Grove, Missouri. Bob was a lifelong resident of the Ash Grove area. He attended the first four years of his elementary school in the Willard School district and attended the remainder of his education at Ash Grove Schools graduating in 1962. He was an Army Veteran stationed in the states as well as a tour in Germany. He retired from McQueary Drug Company working in the warehouse. He was a longtime active member of the Ash Grove Assembly of God Church where he had held various positions. Bob and late wife Vivian had attended and was welcomed into the fellowship and became members of the Center Baptist Church in the spring of 2015. He had been very active with the Ash Grove Food Pantry.

Robert E. West and Vivian Hensley were united in marriage on October 5, 1968. To this union three sons were born. Together Bob and Vivian were privileged to share over 46 years. Vivian preceded him in death on June 17, 2015. Also, preceding him in death were his parents and brother Orville West.

He is survived by his loving family three sons: Tim and wife Stephanie West of Fair Play, Mo. Chris and wife Tia West of Clinton, Mo. and Jeff and wife Rachel West of Springfield, Mo.; three brothers: Charles and wife Judy West of Ash Grove, Mo. Wayne and wife Carolyn West of Springfield, Mo. and Tom and wife Phyllis West also of Ash Grove, Mo. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held, Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the Center Baptist Church east of Ash Grove. Mo. with the Revs. Bill Harrison, Don Miller and Dr. Bob Marti officiating with interment following in Ash Grove Cemetery, Ash Grove, Mo. under the care and
direction of Wilson Brim Daniel Funeral Home Ash Grove, Mo. Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the Missouri Military Honors Team.

Th family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the Ash Grove Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be given, in his Memory, to the Ash Grove Food Pantry.
