Ronald Arthur Harness, age 83, Walnut Grove, Missouri, passed away August 4, 2022, at his home. Ron was born in Springfield, Missouri to Everett Harness and Alma (Harness) Swimley on September 17, 1938.  He married the love of his life, Roma Lee (Long) Harness on October 15, 1960, sharing over 61 years together.  She developed Alzheimer's and he did everything in his power to care for her until he could no longer do it.  She currently resides in the Ash Grove Healthcare Facility.

Ron joined the U.S. Navy in his early years. After leaving the Navy, he did residential construction and eventually had his own construction company building homes. He enjoyed taking care of his beautiful home, being outside, tinkering with any kind of vehicle and spending time with his family.  Ron will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Services are pending.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Everett & Alma; a brother Carl Harness; his son, Ronald Arthur Harness, Jr.; and son-in-law, Bryan Wade.

Ron is survived by his wife, Roma Lee Harness; daughter, Rene Wade; brother, Jerald Harness; sister-in-law, Shirley Ross; grandson Trey Harness and Sara Worrel; grandson, Brock Wade and wife Jessica; granddaughter, Elizabeth Harness; 2 great-granddaughters and 1 great-grandson; family and friends; including his best friend, Bob Ross.

Graveside services will be 11:00AM, Saturday, August 27, 2022, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO.
