Mrs. Rosa M. Nelson, the daughter of Clarence and Judy Ann (Buck) Gamble was born November 25, 1931 in Beatrice, Nebraska. She passed away on March 11, 2020. Her age was 88 years, 3 months, and 16 days.

Rosa and Paul H. Nelson were united in marriage on October 25, 1959. To this union a daughter, Julie, was born. Together, they were privileged to share 56 years, before Paul's passing in 2016.

Rosa was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid artist and loved to paint and draw. For, 4 years, she worked at Russel Stover's in Lincoln, NB and was able to tell what was inside the chocolates based on the top swirl. Rosa was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Willard Chapter #551 and recently the Republic Chapter, Girl Scout leader, and a member of the Willard Methodist Church. Above all, Rosa loved her family, especially her grandkids and great grandson. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Paul.

She is survived by her loving family: daughter, Julie Garner and husband Dale of Springfield; grandson, Shawn Garner and wife Kenzie; great grandson, Jeremiah all of Willard; other family and many friends.

Visitation will be from 10:00AM-11:00AM, Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove, MO. Order of Eastern Star services will begin at 11:00AM, at the funeral home, with funeral services to immediately follow. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 1:00PM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO.
