Roy Kenneth Craft, 72, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 in Brookhaven Health Care, Springfield, Mo.
Roy, the son of James "Howard" and Julia Elizabeth (Allred) Craft, was born November 4, 1943. He was born near Greenfield, Mo. and graduated from Lockwood High School. He was a long time resident of the Springfield, Mo. area. He was a Willard School Bus Driver for the past 17 years. He loved playing music and owned and operated Craft Music Shop. Roy was a member of the O'Sullivan #7 Masonic Lodge A.F.&A.M. where he had served as a past Master. He and his family were very active in the music of the Sac River Cowboy church. He was a member of the Greater Ozarks Bluegrass Society.
Roy and Betty Jo Crouch were united in marriage on October 22, 1962. To this union two children were born. Together, Roy and Betty Jo were privileged to share over 53 years. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving family: wife Betty Jo of the home; daughter, LaDawna and husband Guy Morelock; and son Mark and wife Kendra Craft, all of Springfield; 4 grandchildren: Travis Morelock, Whitney and husband Wesley Burrell, Brett and Cory Craft; and anxiously awaiting the arrival of a great-grandson (Hudson Burrell).
Services will be Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Clear Creek Baptist Church, Springfield, with Rev. Scotty Killingsworth and Rev. David Maravilla officiating, interment following in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Mo., under the care and direction of Wilson Brim Daniel Funeral Home, Ash Grove.
Masonic services will be at held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 5, in the Clear Creek Baptist Church with visitation to follow from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials to the Sac River Cowboy Church Building Fund, American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
