Ruth Anna Grant 83, of Ash Grove, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021. Ruth was born on October 7, 1937, to Earl and Mabel (Frame) Johnson in Lawrence County, Missouri. On May 12, 1956, Ruthie and Edward Stanley Grant were united in marriage and shared over 65 years together.

Ruthie was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Ash Grove High School in 1955. She then went to Draughon's Business College for a year. Ruthie was a hard worker and spent 44 years working their 140-acre farm. She was always proud of the big, beautiful garden she would grow every year. Ruthie loved her Cardinals baseball and she loved to cook, especially pies. She was formerly a prize-winning quilter, enjoyed playing bridge, and working puzzles. Above all, Ruthie loved her family and the Lord with all her heart. She was a member of Center Baptist Church and an Ambassador for the Ash Grove Health Care Auxiliary. Ruthie will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Ruthie is survived by her husband, Edward Stanley Grant; children, Paul Grant and wife Pam of Everton, Linda Grant of Aurora, David Grant and wife Kim of Ash Grove, Christina Grant of Ash Grove; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of family and many friends.

Ruthie was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Allena Mae Garrett, Vedia Louise Means; and brother, Stanley Wayne Johnson.

Visitation will be 5:00PM-7:00PM Friday, August 20, 2021, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Funeral services will be 10:00AM, Saturday, August 21, 2021, at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Sinking Creek Cemetery, Everton, MO.

The family requests that visitors wear a mask to services.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Ash Grove Health Care Auxiliary and may be left at the funeral home.
