Obituary

Sarah Jo (Killingsworth) Pilgrim-Harman, 83 of Walnut Grove, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024. She was born on November 28, 1940, in Walnut Grove, Missouri, to Glen and Winnie (Porter) Killingsworth. On June 25, 1956, Sarah and Larry Carl Bryant were united in marriage and to this union, their 3 children were born. August 13, 1977, Sarah and Dan E. Pilgrim were united in marriage and shared over 25 years together, before Dan's passing in 2003. Sarah married Byron Harman on July 31, 2009, and they shared 13 years together, before Byron passed away in 2022.

Sarah was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1958. She had many lifelong friends and just kept collecting friends throughout her life. She was a member of several different card groups and enjoyed going to the Sunshine Center. Sarah was a member of Walnut Grove First Baptist Church and loved her church family. She retired with emeritus status from Missouri State University where she worked with students on career planning and placement. Sarah loved to grow flowers and didn't mind asking for help to plant when she needed. Sarah loved her family and loved getting to spend time with all of them.

Sarah is survived by her children, Kim Dobbins, Scott Bryant and wife Miranda; step children, Christopher Pilgrim and wife Beth, Karen Hayes and husband Joe, Joe Pilgrim, Randy Harman and wife Susan, Ronnie Harman and wife Kristie, Russell "Russ" Harman and wife Dawn; step daughter-in-law, Lavena Pilgrim; grandchildren, Lindsey Pitts and husband Rob, Ben Dobbins, Modesty Queen, Mason Bryant, Matthew Bryant and wife Rachael, Bailey Bauer and husband Logan; step grandchildren, Allesha Bishop, Kyle Pilgrim, Grace Pilgrim, Traci Hayes, Jimmy Hayes, Jessica Ibarra, Jamie Pilgrim, Zachary Harman and wife Hanna, Madison Harman, Jessica Endrizzi and husband Alex, Brandy Tiller and husband John, Hannah Porter and husband Austin, Heather Harman Michael and husband Trent, Bayley Ross and husband Peyton; great grandchildren, Tori Woods and husband Daniel, Cole Howlett, Paisley Bryant, Caroline Bauer, Whitley and Shiloh Pitts, step great grandchildren, Autumn and Warren Tiller, Adalyn and Laynie Porter, Karsyn and Korbyn Endrizzi; great-great grandson, Walker Woods; other family and many friends.

Sarah is preceded in death by her husbands; son, Randy Carl Bryant, brothers, Max Killingsworth and Rex Killingsworth; son-in-law, Tommy Dobbins; stepson, Scott Pilgrim; and step grandson, Jackson Pilgrim.

Visitation will be from 5:00PM-7:00PM, Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. Funeral services will be 10:00AM, Friday, September 6, 2024, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove, MO.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Walnut Grove First Baptist Church for Operation Shoe Box and may be left with the funeral home.
