Stanley D. McHaffie, 72 of Ash Grove, passed away peacefully in his home, August 30, 2022. Stanley was number 8 in the line of 9 children, born in Bruner, Missouri on June 10, 1950, to Lawrence "Hollie" Holbrook and Margret "Lou" Louisa (Swearengin) McHaffie. On June 20, 1970, Stanley and Lorraine Shuler were united in marriage and shared over 52 years together.

Stanley was a helper to the core. He was always thinking of others and helping his neighbors. He enjoyed farming, brush hogging, working cattle, weed eating and enjoyed doing things to make a place look pretty. Stanley had a love for putting up hay, but nothing compared to his love of the family tradition of putting up molasses. He loved his family and spending time with them.  Stanley will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of those that knew and loved him.

Stanley is preceded in death by his parents; and 7 siblings, Louie Leonard McHaffie, Almeda Ford, Jerry Albert McHaffie, Holyace Ola Stapp, Reggie Ray McHaffie, Glen Edward McHaffie, Terry Michael McHaffie.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Lorraine; children, Marcus McHaffie and wife Deana, Michael McHaffie and wife Christina, Michelle Pyle and husband Travis; grandchildren, Logan McHaffie, Malyssa McHaffie, Shane McHaffie, Christopher Mayfield, Nicholas Mayfield, Kylee McHaffie; 2 great grandchildren; brother Jack McHaffie and wife Wanda; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.

Visitation will be from noon until service time, Monday, September 5, 2022, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Funeral services will begin at 2:00PM at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Willard, MO.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Stanley's name to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery and may be left at the funeral home.
