Stanley W. Rhoads, 76, of Lebanon, MO passed away, September 18, 2019. He was born on November 14, 1942 in Lebanon, MO to Earl and Minnie (Smith) Rhoads. On April 19, 1973, Stanley and Janet E. Humphreys were united in marriage. They shared over 24 years together, before Janet's passing in 1997.
Stanley was a graduate of Lebanon High School and worked over 30 years at Mid-America Diarymen. He was a horseman and a regular cowboy. Stanley enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and being with his horses. He also loved a good competition. Golf became a favorite in his retirement years, where he won senior club champion and made multiple hole in ones. Above all, Stanley loved his grandchildren and being able to watch them grow. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him.
Stanley is survived by his children, Brad Rhoads and wife Desa of Lebanon, Lesley Rogers and James of Springfield; grandchildren, Sadey Rogers, Brady Rogers, Bronsen Rhoads, Brinnley Rhoads, Brecken Rhoads, Jalainey Rogers; siblings, Darlene Payne and husband Robert of Kansas City, James Rhoads and wife Sherry of Virginia; Pam Anderson and husband Don, David Rhoads and wife Pat, Janice Uder and husband Kenny all of Lebanon; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Minnie Rhoads; wife, Janet Rhoads; brothers, Gary Don Rhoads, Jerry Rhoads, Howard Rhoads, Richard Rhoads, and Eugene Rhoads.
Visitation will be from 10:30 until service time, Saturday, September 21, 2019 at First Christian Church, Lebanon, MO, with a time of fellowship immediately following the funeral service. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00AM, Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the church. A private family burial will be held at a later date in McBride Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Lebanon Area Foundation or the Backpack Program.
