Stephen Jay Johnson, 73 of Everton passed away April 18, 2022. He opened and closed more gates than anyone could count, but he finally opened his last and entered the pearly gates of Heaven. Stephen was born in Kansas City, MO on September 26, 1948, to Lloyd and Betty (Robertson) Johnson. On May 5, 1973, Stephen and Glenna (Johnson) were united in marriage and shared over 48 years together.

Stephen was a lifelong area farmer. He enjoyed all the years hauling cattle, spending time in his cab tractor, working in the chicken houses, and checking on his neighbors.  He enjoyed being outdoors and going to Steam-o-Rama, Silver Dollar City, and rarely missed a Farm Fest. Stephen enjoyed listening to music, fishing, and watching ballgames. He particularly enjoyed those activities when they also included his kids and grandkids. Stephen loved his family and spending time with them.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.

Stephen is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd, and Betty Johnson.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Glenna Johnson; children, Stephanie Davis and husband Mike, Tasha Becker and husband Daniel, Joshua Johnson and wife Kaylan, Alex Johnson, Brent Johnson; grandchildren, Ashtyn Davis, Tristyn Davis, Destyn Davis, Ethan Becker, Carson Becker, Kambry Johnson, Brexton Johnson, Kinsley Johnson; other family and friends.

Visitation will be 6:00PM-8:00PM, Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Funeral services will be 2:00PM, Friday, April 22, 2022, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Hopewell Cemetery, Everton.
