Susan G. Mattox, 62 of Ash Grove, passed away, Friday, January 31, 2020. She was born on November 28, 1957, in Marshfield, MO, to Paul and Luella (Copeland) Collins. On April 9, 1997, Susan and Jimmy Mattox were united in marriage and shared over 22 years together.

Susan was a 1975 graduate of Marshfield High School and went on to Draughon Business College, graduating in 1978. She worked in sales for Coyle Supply for over 34 years. Susan was an avid animal lover, especially her corgi, Scout, enjoyed riding horses and her family called her a crazy cat lady. She was active in the local Circle of Paws helping animals in need. She also enjoyed helping people. Susan also was on the Ozark Association of Short Horn Cattle board for many years. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Susan is survived by her husband, Jimmy Mattox of the home; step-sons, Dr. Craig Mattox and wife Tracy of St. Joseph, Dr. Ross Mattox of St. Louis; step grandchildren, Riley, Reese, Rorey, Ryder; brother, Stephen Collins of Marshfield; sister, Sherry Bell and husband Roger; nephew, David Bell and fiancé Kourtney Trent; niece, Sarah Stout and husband Tim all of Broken Arrow, OK; mother, Luella Jumps of Bolivar; step mother, Eva Collins of Springfield; other family and many friends.

Susan was preceded in death by her father, Paul Collins; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Pat Mattox; and step-father, Roy Jumps.

Visitation will be from 5:00PM- 7:00PM, Monday, February 3, 2020 at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove, MO. Funeral services will be at 10:00AM, Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Shady Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Susan's name to Circle of Paws and may be left at the funeral home.
