Obituary

Tamara N. Paulos, age 60, of Willard, Missouri, formerly a longtime resident of Roswell, NM went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on August 27, 2025. She was born in Bryan, TX on February 17, 1965 to Charles Nelson, deceased, and Rita Nelson.

Tamara is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of thirty-eight years Clay Paulos, having married on July 25, 1987 along with their two children: Kristyn Paulos Petkau, her husband, Travis Petkau and their two sons, Boone and Truman of Willard, MO; and Kathryn Paulos of Jackson, MS. Tamara has four siblings: Karl Nelson and his family of Caldwell, TX; Laura Olexey and her family of Bryan, TX; Rena Krause, deceased, and her family of Ruidoso, NM; and Dana Tobeck and her family of Houston, TX.

Tamara graduated from Bryan High School in 1983. She received an undergraduate degree in 1987 from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX and a graduate degree in 1991 from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX.

Tamara was deeply loved by her family and will be greatly missed. She was always a person of grace which was displayed in the last few months of her life as she lived life to the fullest, never complaining of the pain she was walking through. Tamara made her church home at Calvary Chapel Springfield, MO. She loved ballet, music, and was an avid reader passing on the love of reading to her home-schooled children and oldest grandson. Tamara treasured being a "Nana" to her two grandsons. Most importantly, Tamara leaves a legacy as "mama" and "nana" who taught her daughters to love Jesus and the Word.

1 Corinthians 15:51-58

51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory."

55 "Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?"

56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
