Thomas Joseph Monahan, 87 of Willard, Mo. passed away in his home on Thursday morning, March 5, 2015 following an extended illness.

Thomas, the son of Thomas and Florence (Shea) Monahan, was born in New York City, New York on June 22, 1927. Thomas grew up in the New York area living in California prior to moving to the Willard area in 1988. He graduated from High School and was in Officers Candidate School. and was employed with R.C.A. as a Satellite System Specialist. Thomas was a veteran of the United States Army and Merchant Marines.

Thomas and Caroline were united in marriage on June 29, 1963. Together they were privileged to share over 51 years. To this union two children were born. He was preceded in death by his
parents. He is survived by his wife Caroline; son, Col. Thomas and wife Kristina of Lancaster, Pa.
and daughter, Mary and husband Jeffery Whyte of Lt. Lauderdale, Florida; two grandchildren: Thomas
and Maura Monahan; and sister, Alice and husband Mike Gillen of Lakewood, New Jersey.

No Memorial services are planned at this time. Per his request, cremation was performed and later
cremains will be placed at sea, by his family. Arrangements and cremation was under the care
and direction of Wilson Brim Daniel Funeral Home, Ash Grove, Mo.
