Treacil B. Myers, age 92, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022. He was born on June 18, 1930, in Everton, MO. He was employed in construction from 1951-1952. He served in the Army, stationed in Germany during 1952 & 1953. In 1953 he moved to Ash Grove and was employed by the Bank of Ash Grove for 14 years. He started his career as Postmaster with the Ash Grove Post Office and was employed there for 24 years, retiring in April 1991. After retirement he was employed with Avis Rent A Car for 18 years and enjoyed all the friendships he made.

Treacil was united in marriage to Martha Friar on November 14, 1953. They made their lifetime home in Ash Grove where they raised their two daughters, Becky and Pam. They were happily married for 64 years.

He enjoyed yard and garden work and was very meticulous with both. He enjoyed fishing on Stockton Lake and morning coffee with friends at the coffee shop. Going to ball games were a favorite for him as well, especially when any of his grandchildren were involved. All his grandchildren were a great joy to him.

In 1956 he joined the Methodist Church and was a long-time member of the Methodist-Presbyterian Church in Ash Grove, serving in many roles. His church family was very special to him.

In 2017 Treacil and Martha moved to the Elfindale Community in Springfield, MO.

He is survived by his brother, Don Myers, two daughters, Becky Ramsey and husband Mark, Pam Bayless and husband Don; five grandchildren, Trent Ramsey and wife Jacque, Cale Ramsey and wife Brittany, Shana Ramsey and fiancé Jason Christie, Kyra Williams and husband Shane, Jace Bayless; five great grandchildren, Hatcher, Haddie, Huxton, Brooks, Brexson; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

Treacil was preceded in death by his wife, Martha; son, Bruce Gene Myers; parents, Monroe and Susie Myers; sister, Mary Hankins; brother, Willard Myers.

The family would like to thank his caregivers, Debbie, Ashley, and Carinne.

Visitation will be 1:00PM until service time, Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Funeral services will begin at 2:00PM at the funeral home with burial to follow at Shiloh Cemetery, Everton.
