Vernabelle Eaves 95 years old (Springfield MO), a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, went to be with the lord on Oct 30, 2024.

Vernabelle was born in Walnut Grove Mo. Some of her accomplishments include, being a talented writer, a published author in the Springfield News & Leader, with a passion for poetry. She worked as an Office Manager at John B Hughs Apartments for many years. She loved quilting and sewing. One of her favorite pastimes included, shopping and luncheons with friends and family.

Preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Olas Eaves, her parents Cleadith and Melva Cooksey, brother Dale Cooksey, and Sister Betty Bell. She is survived by her brother Melvin Cooksey and wife Arley (Corpus Christi Tx), three daughters, Glenda & Harold Buttram, Debby Self, Kristi Eaves & partner Reese Wheeless, Grand Children, Scott and Kristine Self (San Antonio Tx), Aaron and Freedom Self (Ozark Mo), Jessica Kelley (Springfield Mo), Dallas and Kristin Self (Mansfield TX), Jaden Eaves (Springfield Mo) and seven great grandchildren, a host of Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews.

A private graveside service was held November 9, 2024, at Green Lawn Cemetery in Walnut Grove Missouri.
