Vicki M. (Russell) King, 62 of Ash Grove, passed away Wednesday morning, September 9, 2015 in her home, following an extended illness.
Vicki, the daughter of Floyd and Reva (Highfill) Russell, was born July 31, 1953 in Springfield, Mo. She grew up in the Dadeville area
graduating from Dadeville High School in 1971. She was a lifelong resident of the Willard, Walnut Grove, and Ash Grove areas. She was
a homemaker and Vicki was Food Director for the Willard High School Cafeteria, retiring in 2010 after 25 years of service. She was saved, at home, on July 26, 1964 and joined the Turkey Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed attending and the fellowship
of the Sac-River Cowboy Church the past several years.
Vicki Russell and Steven R. King were united in marriage, January 25, 1973. To this union 2 children were born. Together they were
privileged to share over 42 years. She was preceded in death by her
father, Floyd Russell, brother, Ron Russell; and sister, Pat Porter.
She is survived by her loving family: husband, Steve; son, Charlie King; daughter, Kelli and husband Kenneth Tuter; and precious grand-daughter, Kenna Tuter all of Ash Grove, Mo; mother, Reva Russell and
four sisters: Brenda Davis, Ramona and husband Wallace Waggoner, Lana Russell and Jana and husband Mike Gardner all of Springfield, Mo; mother-in-law, Pauline King of Walnut Grove, Mo; numerous nieces,
nephews and cousins.
Vicki's entire family would like to offer their love and appreciation to the 6th floor Staff of Hulston Cancer Center for all the Love and concern given to Vicki these past few years. Also, to three special, loving and caring friends: Paula, Nancy, Sharon, Allison and Jan.
Services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Wilson Brim Daniel Chapel, Walnut Grove with Rev. Scott Killingsworth officiating with interment following in Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove, Mo.
Family will receive friends on Friday evening 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the Walnut Grove Chapel.
Memorial Contributions may be given in her memory to the Shriner's Children Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.
