Viola "Vi" Mae Copeland, 93 of Ash Grove passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023. She was born on November 26, 1929, in Willard, Missouri to Alvie and Lexie Ann (Long) Hughes. On September 29, 1950 Vi and Stanley Copeland were united in marriage.

Vi loved being outdoors and doing yard work. She enjoyed sitting on her porch and visiting with neighbors. Vi loved her family, especially her children. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Vi was preceded in death by her parents, Alvie and Lexie Hughes; husband, Stanley Copeland; 2 sons, Jerry Hughes and Randy Copeland; and 9 siblings.

Vi is survived by her son, Steve Copeland; grandchildren, Jeremy Copeland, Christopher Copeland, Daniale Thorton, Jana Copeland, Stacie Copeland, Matthew Copeland; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

Visitation will be from 10:00AM until service time, Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM, at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Wesley Cemetery, Willard, MO.
