Vivian M. Malicoat 80, of Nixa, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 10, 2021.

Vivian was born on February 8, 1941 to Leroy and Mildred (Robertson) Vandergrift in Bois D'Arc, MO.  In 1957, Vivian and James Malicoat were united in marriage and shared over 64 years together.

Vivian was a caretaker at heart. She loved helping people, cooking and serving her family and friends. She enjoyed going to thrift stores, garage sales, and she enjoyed singing and writing lyrics. Vivian loved going to church and being involved. Vivian adored her family, especially her grandchildren. She was always there for them and loved doing whatever they wanted to do.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Vivian is survived by her husband James L. Malicoat; children, James A. Mailcoat, Paula Bussard and husband Everett, Eric Malicoat and wife Shelly, Paul Malicoat and wife Renea; grandchildren, Cory, Halee, Erin, Erica, Brittany, Misty, Kendra, Ashley; multiple great grandchildren; brothers, Wayne Vandergrift and Gary Vandergrift; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Virgil Vandergrift.

Graveside services will be 2:00PM, Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Ash Grove Cemetery, Ash Grove, MO.
