Walter Thomas Gunn Sr. 89 of Marshfield passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023. He was born on June 18, 1933, in Abesville, MO to Eli A. and Clara (Ralston) Gunn. On January 19, 1979, Walter and Rebecca Parrish were united in marriage and shared over 44 years together.

Walter enjoyed working in his workshop and could fix anything. He was a ham radio operator and enjoyed spending time communicating with it. Walter also enjoyed motorcycles and dune buggies, and even built several dune buggies.  He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him.

Walter was preceded in death by his son, Michael Joe; parents, Eli and Clara (Ralston) Gunn; sister, Syble Stewart; and brother, Leonard Gunn.

Walter is survived by his wife, Rebecca Gunn of the home; sons, Walter Thomas Gunn Jr. and wife Marsha of Moore, OK, Jim Gunn and wife Julia of Aurora, MO; nephew, Lee Stewart and wife Regina of Carthage, MO; mother-in-law, Betty Parrish of Ash Grove, MO; sister-in-law, Carolyn Kilgore and husband John of Fordland, MO; special niece, Patrice Kilgore of Fordland, MO;  other family and many friends.

Graveside services will be 2:00PM, Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove, MO.
