Obituary

William Thomas Green was a loving husband, father, uncle, Papa & friend. He left this world on December 7th, 2023.

William was born in Belton, Texas on June 6th, 1932 to Elton Green and Gladys Bailey. While serving for his country in the U.S. Army as a Military Police Officer, he met the love of his life Donna. Together they shared 70 wonderful years of marriage and were blessed with three children: Marcus Green, Danny Green & Rami McTavish.

William was a recipient of The Purple Heart after serving in the Korean War. Following his service in the U.S. Army he then re-enlisted in the US Air Force.  After years of service, William retired and the family was then living in Morrisville, MO where him and Donna raised their children. After all the children graduated, he and Donna moved to Kansas City, MO where he managed many properties. They made the move once more and settled in Fair Play, MO where he spent the remainder of his days in the beautiful home he built himself. AKA The Building. To say William wore many hats in his life, was modest to say the least.

His  greatest joy was to see the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. William left footprints in many lives, left big shoes to fill and will forever be missed.

William was proceeded in death by: his mother, Gladys Bailey; his father, Elton Green; sister, Linda Godfrey; daughter-in-law Sherri Green; and grandson Dallas Green.

William is survived by: the love of his life, Donna Green; Children, Marcus Green, Dann Green, Rami McTavish; Grandchildren; Nicole Melissinas (Andrew), Casey McTavish (Allicia), Corey McTavish (Whitney), Heather Kenney (Gavin). Great Grandchildren: Jaden, Ethan, Noami, Ki, Oliver, Melody, Hadley, Bayler, Haisley. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends and all who loved him.
